Heather Sanford. LPC-Associate
Heather McGowen Sanford is both a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under Jamie Porter: LMFT-S, LPC-S, practicing in the state of Texas. She has her Master’s in Clinical Psychology & Behavioral Science from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. She also has both of her California licenses in AMFT & APCC.
Heather has completed extensive studies in Relationship Therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma Work, Suicidality, Attachment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, she has worked in play therapy and has many hours working with young adults in crisis and with suicidality. She is also Gottman Therapy certified, and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) certified under Sue Johnson.
Heather brings with her 20 years of experience in working with families, marriages, and individuals in crisis and trauma in Central America and Europe. Her warm, insightful, and compassionate approach brings life-giving results.
